Purpose & Vision
The primary purpose of Heritage Bible Church is to Glorify God. We believe God is glorified when the praise for the results He achieves through us is directed toward Him.

Pursuit of Our Purpose:
Embedded in the pursuit of our purpose is the enabling power of persistent individual and corporate prayer. We can effectively achieve our primary purpose through a balanced approach to our fourfold objective of:

  • Meaningful Worship that directs our full attention to the living Lord with an attitude of love and praise.

  • Instruction that teaches the Word of God and the fundamentals of the faith as contained in the Holy Scriptures. Sound bible teaching; with "scriptural substance" is the backbone of the body.

  • Fellowship that provides a caring family that demonstrates a genuine concern for one another. This is provided through relationships that share a common purpose together, and sharing in others' experiences.

  • Expression that reaches outside of our church family circle through evangelism and missions both local and global.

Mission:
Our mission is to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. The church organization is a divinely inspired model of preparation and training for life. Heritage Bible Church provides opportunity to exercise our individual spiritual gift(s) as God designed them to function - as part of the body of this church. To accomplish this it is our desire to reflect God's glory as we provide sound biblical teaching, meaningful worship, and a warm and loving fellowship.

Core Values:
Heritage Bible Church believes that how we accomplish our purpose is as important as the purpose itself. Therefore, we seek to glorify God through core values that honor people and exalt the Lord.

Glory to our God - living by faith . . . entrusting our talents, finances, and plans to God's control.

Character in Ourselves - as a result of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, we will live our lives characterized by integrity that is solid, stable, and secure.

Honor to Others - by providing an atmosphere of respect where each person can contribute and thrive.

Grace in our Relationships - by practicing thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity, courtesy, freedom, forgiveness, encouragement, and appreciation of others' differences as we inspire greatness in those around us.

Pursuit of Excellence - reflecting the infinite excellence of the God we serve . . . producing the highest quality ministry program, materials, and personal service possible.

Accountability to One Another - a willingness to answer for one's life, characterized by vulnerability, teachability, honesty, and availability.

Ministry Values:
The essential priorities of the ministry of Heritage Bible Church:

Learning - solid theology made practical in every facet of our ministry.

Loving (koinonia) - reaching out . . . meeting needs . . . caring for each other.

Worshiping - responding to God . . . "lost in wonder, love, and praise."

Praying - connecting with the Lord throughout the day and night in prayer and praise.

The Truths We Believe:
We believe . . . that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and without mistakes as originally written. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.

We believe . . . in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.

We believe . . . in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

We believe . . . man was created by and for God; that by man's disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.

We believe . . . the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who trust in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in the right relationship with God and receive the gift of eternal life.

We believe . . . in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers and thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.

We believe . . . In the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those who by God's grace have been declared righteous, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God's forgiveness in His Son.
