General Privacy Policies
To protect your privacy, all Heritage Bible Church e-mail lists, directories, and prayer lists are prepared on an "opt-in" basis only. Only those specifically requesting to be part of these ministries will be included. When these documents are made available on the HBC web servers for distribution to the congregation, the following precautions are taken:

  • Documents are kept in a directory made inaccessible to Internet "spiders," automated processes used to catalog the World Wide Web. This prevents the documents from showing up in the reputable search engines.

  • These document files rarely remain on HBC web servers for more than a few days, making them difficult for rogue "spiders" to find them.

  • The file names for these documents are changed regularly, making it impossible for those taking advantage of rogue "spiders" to successfully cataloging them.

  • No links to any of these files exist, except those included in the bi-weekly regular announcements.

  • Web and e-mail administration is maintained on a system running the latest and most thorough virus protection.

  • E-mail messages are circulated blindly to ensure that your e-mail address is not shared on the mailing lists.
These measures are combined to ensure that the personal information you share with Heritage Bible Church remains secure on the Internet.


Church Directories
The Heritage Bible Church Directory is not regularly kept on the website, in order to protect the privacy of the church family. Supplements are distributed each month via the regular e-mail announcements, and complete directories are done each spring and fall, with hard copies available at HBC.
